Every year, Woodward Academy Upper School students in the rising 10th - 12th grades have the exciting opportunity to select a "book of choice" as part of their summer reading program.
The Upper School English Department comes together with faculty, staff, and administrators to facilitate small-scale discussion groups on a wide range of texts.
This year, we welcome a small group of rising seniors as leaders of this program. Those seniors have selected the books for the program and are working together with faculty facilitators in order to create an exciting, early-August "work period" experience for their group members.
We consider this to be an invaluable part of our English curriculum, and we are proud to invite our students to engage in our ninth year of the "Book of Choice" program.
